Since 2012, SPS has been actively promoting the Ram Rahim Pragati Producer Company Limited (RRPPCL), an independent Farmers Producer Organisation (FPO). RRPPCL procures commodities from smallholder women farmers associated with women's Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the region. Owned and operated by over 5,800 small and marginal tribal women farmers belonging to 390 Women SHGs, RRPPCL plays a pivotal role in local markets, diminishing the power of traders and ensuring base prices for farmers. The FPO serves as a joint sale point for outputs and a platform for sourcing inputs.
Currently, RRPPCL sustains all administrative expenses, including staff salaries, and bears almost all operational expenses.
In 2015, RRPPCL became the first FPO to enter the online marketplace via the National Commodities Derivatives Exchange, ensuring sale prices of specific crops months before harvest.
In 2022, RRPPCL made history by distributing funds to its shareholders during the Annual General Meeting, providing a Dividend Fund to 390 shareholder groups and a Patronage BONUS to 138 Self-Help Groups. This moment brought happiness to the faces of all shareholders and SHGs.
